Josh Smart is a professional audio, lighting and video technician, with a background in theatre, dance, live music and events, as well as corporate functions and festivals. Josh is highly skilled in setting up and operating all live systems and consoles from small format to large scale production. Josh’s technical skills have been developed from numerous years of on-the-job training and real life experience.
Josh spent 2 years at the Adelaide College of the Arts, studying Technical Production. This course involves working with a team to build and produce a number of productions in various artistic formats. Students at AC Arts work with their peers in the acting, film and dance departments to creatively develop dance, theatre, comedy, musical and film productions, as well as work with live bands. Josh’s work at AC Arts culminated in a number of highly successful productions including Into the Woods, Roadkill and Cloud Street. Since TAFE, Josh has completed a Diploma of Management and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment as well as many competency-based courses.
